Here is the problem. My batt has lost all it's fluid. The batt guy says it's due to overcharging. He refills batt and off I go. Yesterday I'm cruising @ 3300 and all of the sudden, power loss! I look at batt gage and it is on the - side! I slow down and things go back to + and I continue. Along w/this is my cars slows 200 rpm @ idle when Dual Spal fans kick on. I also have unilite ign. I have replaced stk alt long ago w/120-140 alt? It's going into shop asap. Any ideas on the problem? The batt guy checked incoming charge, 13.6 volts. He said right on. Do I have too little amp, bad voltage regulator, or bad batt?
Hey bud:
How old is your battery, it may just not be keeping a charge with your other accessories running, hane them run a full diagnostic check on your ign. system. Most garages will do this for free or only a few $. When I replaced my engine and changed a few other things, I had to replace my old battery. It was fine for the previous setup but just was too weak and couldn't hold a charge, the new battery fixed it all.
