Although NPT threads are actually slightly tapered and generally self sealing, I would use a teflon type thread sealer paste or a high-temp thread sealer, such as offered by Loc-tite. Heat and corrosion are two common concerns with brake fittings.
I'd be interested in seeing some pics of the brake install. I'm going to be upgrading my brakes, and am looking examples. Let us know how it feels compared to the stock brakes. Good luck!

Thanks for the input monty.I'm also putting them on the front,I bought the adapters from another forum member.I just need to find the adapters to put#3 braided hose to the stock steel brake lines.

I am sure Loctite has a product for you. They have an excellent website which provides TDS's for each product. Try product 511 or 564.
