When I bought my '77 L-48, I always used 93 octane. (I think the owner's manual says something about using premium gas.) When this became too expensive as fuel costs rose a few years ago, I switched to 87 octane and never noticed the difference.
Regular is for lawn mowers... I have used amoco 93 in our 3.1 minivan for 178,000 mile, NEVER touched the injectors or use even ONE can of any kind of treatment. I can't say that about friends who use Cheap regular in their cars.
