Default Vansteels Front Coilover kit with a LS swap

I would like to know if anybody with the LS swap is running this kit. Was the two inch drop I heard you can get enough to get the front lower with the lightweight engine? Thanks!

Mines not an LS swap- 4 more cylinders and about 50lbs more.... IIRC the LS weighs in about 450 dressed and mines right at 500lbs.

Are you talking about the semi- coilovers

Or the coilovers and tubular A-Arms?

If the coilovers & tubular A-Arms- that's what I'm running. Also running the their rear coilovers too.

Here's how it sits- no water in yet- or hood- but it's about stock height now. Just tell the guys at Vansteel what you are swamping and they will set you up!!!

The beauty with coil-overs is you can change out the spring to a shorter, longer stiffer etc.

Get their recommendation on which spring to use with a lighter LS swap. I would think a 500 pound spring would be a little much.

Maybe you misread my post- or I probably didn't clarify- I was talking about the weight of the LS engine - not the spring!!

Richard, how did you come up with those stands/supports for lifting your car up like that? Do you have plans for those? Also, what process do you use to lift the car up to put those under? Specifics please Sir. I have a hard time feeling comfortable lifting and supporting my vette when working underneath.

Here you go, a video on it-

Sort like wooden legos- jack up the car- front and rear- on one level- used 4 x 4 platform for the jack- raised it again - and added the second level. I drilled a hole through the blocks and used a carriage bot to secure them.
