refurbishing the steering wheel
gonna go buy a small wire wheel and zap the spokes. I want to do the horn cap too but I suspect that it's pot metal and wont stand up to a wire wheel. anyone refurbish the cap?

You can get ahold of Chuck Pelton. He refurbs them for al of the major vendors, to NCRS standards. I don't think he does the caps though. I got a refurb one for the CE and it is perfect.

When I got one for my CE it was $250. After I sent mine back to him, he refunded $50 as a core charge. it looks perfect painted and re-wrapped and I'm very happy with it. If I would have sent it to a vendor, it would be $275 and then they have to send it out to him. If you need contact info, I think I still have it. Email or IM me :seeya

The center cap on this one has been repainted and looks new.
