Default 74 454 carb selection
I need some input on carb for my rebuilt engine

.03 over
domed pistons
factory heads shaved slightly
mild cam

pushing 500 HP

How does a holley 4160 650 sound, vaccum secondary, electric choke?

Your 454 needs a 750 cfm. If you want Holley vac sec try a 3310. Or equivalent!

For a Qjet style intake I'd use an 800 spreadbore holley DP. You'll have to find a used one but that isn't hard.

I wouldn't choke it with a smaller carb, 454's like 850's too !
