CA Header Installation Issues
I have a 1980 L82 that I am in the process of trying to install Hedman #68301 hedders. I live in CA so that's why I chose these particular headers which are 50 state legal. I have an auto tranny and must reuse the heat riser valve. The issue I am having is that the header pipes from the passenger side run right along the side of the transmission and there is not enough room to mount the heat riser adapter onto the ball socket. The ball socket end also rubs directly onto the transmission lines as well. Has anybody run into this and figured out a fix for this? I called Hedman tech support and am still waiting for a reply.
