Default what are these?

I noticed a couple of these in various places. What are they? (the thing with 2 wires connected to it with round eyelets)

I believe they are a type of inline fuse or resistor. Maybe someone else will chime in. Take care

It's a circuit breaker. It opens when too much current flows and closes back when the internal contacts cool. If the short is still there, it will open again, and so on. They are used on headlights and power windows, for example.

Be advised that there should be a rubber cap on that connection. Depending on the year of the car, it may be hot all of time. You can get the cap at NAPA. Jerry
