Ordering Wheels Tomorrow (Picture)
I know many here like the Edelbrock 409, but I have settled on the 426. So, talk me out of it:

Re: Ordering Wheels Tomorrow (OHSIXX)
I heard the 426's have a factory defect, so they are dangerous to use. Better be safe and get the 409's. :jester
What size are you thinking?

Get them. I love to see different kinds of wheels on C3's, maybe thats why I put ZR1 wheels on mine!! Are you going with 17's?
Enjoy!!

Re: Ordering Wheels Tomorrow (Zack Wenning)
they should look pretty good....but you could get a similar look by polishing a set of slotted rims from a 78 and putting a spinner cap on them...

So, talk me out of it
Well, I've heard from an old gear head in his 60's that at high speeds (50mph+) the spinners on this model tend to loosen and come off, creating a propeller effect and sending this spinning projectile in all directions. This spinner is known to inbed itself into other motorists tires causing abrupt blow outs and tire failure. Kind of like the spiked charriot wheels on Stephen Boyd's charriot in "Ben Hur". I wouldn't take that chance... :jester

Re: Ordering Wheels Tomorrow (Silvr77)
I had planned to just stay with my 15X8 tires since they are new. Now you guys have raised this 17" question and it has caused me to rethink what I am doing.
So, what would be absolutely ideal?
