1968 Ignition Issues
I've been working on a '68 427/390 4-spd convertible. I have it pretty much back together. I had the dash out and now when I start the car, i have no ignition in the "start" position. The car runs great if i get the engine spinning with the starter and let go of the key. I've cleaned the contacts on the ignition switch and I don't think I have any loose connections. Any ideas?? Thanks!

It sounds like you didn't connect the coil's other wire to the "R" terminal of the starter solenoid. With the key ON there should be around 6 volts at the + terminal of the coil and with the key in the START position there should be 12 volts present. That 12 volts comes from the "R" terminal when the solenoid is engaged.
