Heat shields
Do 72's have under body heat shields ? If so does anyone know where to get them and/or part no's ?

72s have the tunnel insulation but do not have the under body, 69 was the last
year for that, you could add them from a 69 setup

You mean I could purchase the 68-69 heat shield and install them on the 72 frame ?

The rear of the shield are riveted to the frame but the front it attached to the plastic pieces that are connected to the firewall.
My guess would be you won't have those studs.
You can see it near the top of my picture.

'72's have the pieces at the turned up part of the floorboards but not the flat part.
CC part numbers 33673 thru 33678 depending on Ac or not and plastic vs. metal.

yes you can, just get the few little bracket parts and your all set

I got some from JEGS which attach to the exhaust pipes they are about 3 feet long . they are very effective
