My radio is all of the sudden active very strangely...
It goes on/off on its own and seemingly without any outside cause (Bumps, movement, accessories powering up). I tried to open/close the fascia so I could get to the CD player and reset the system but nada. The radio stays mostly off and will just pop on randomly for a short amount of time.
I sat in my car this morning and the radio would just go on/off. One time I squeezed the casing and it came on?
I can't seem to replicate any type of pattern so as to begin to troubleshoot.
I'm going to go at lunch and reach around the console and see if the harness is loose.
Anyone else have anything like this happen?

So I go out at lunch, pop out the glove box and feel around the for the harness (which of course is on the drivers side) I did move the unit slightly. I coudl not reach the harness.
Just to see, I popped the key in and "Viola" the unit is working again. I gave it several more ignition cycles and everything operates just like it did usually.
So... could the unit require an independent grounding source? That is the only thing I can think that could cause what I saw??

Ground is ground, just make sure it has a good one....make sure all the wires are tight and have real connections, not just twisted with tape!!
