Carpet install
The reinforcement plates that cover the seat belts on the door side they do go above the carpet? I've seen some that are not visible. The assembly manual is really not clear on this

guess I'm wrong on this one
Guess I'm wrong on this one. On my 69 the similar part is under the carpet. Does the lap belt have a retractor?

Use the plastic cover as a guide to cut your carpet Croaker, cut about 1" inside the outer lip and leave none on the side.
