So, I looked into those 7443 bulbs and sockets and took some measurements. Unfortunately I still don't think there's enough room. The housing has exactly one inch of depth from the back of the housing to the lens. The 7443 bulbs are about 1.5" and the sockets 1.3". About .5" of the bulb will be recessed in the sockets, but the socket still protrudes close to an inch into the housing plus the 1" of the bulb. GM really didn't leave much room to play! I think I'm just going to remove the marker lights from the parking lamp circuit and make it a dedicated turn signal. Thanks for the help though!

Did you look into a full wave bridge rectifier to prevent feedback or maybe some non-polarity sensitive leds?

So I went the simple route and just removed the side turn signals from the parking lamp circuit. That solved the feedback problem, but the LED turn signal now didn't function because the circuit was dead ended. So, I took the brown wire coming from the marker socket that had been the feed from parking lamps, and I tapped it into the ground wire that goes to the cornering lamp in the same housing.

So now no more feedback lighting the turn signals up and blinding me at night, and the side markers function correctly as turn signals only. Thanks for the help!

Legally the side markers should be lit when the parking lights and tail lights are on. Signals are required on the front and rear but not the in the marker locations. Just an fyi in case you get stopped by an **** cop.

Thanks, I'm aware but don't think it will be an issue. They're probably more likely to notice the 18% tint I just got (legal in MA is 35%, but black tint just looks soooo good on a black car) lol. I figure the rear side markers are enough, plus my car is so loud no one can miss it haha.
