This is on the 79 I've been working on for the passed 5 months.

Heads:
Ported the heads, re-lapped valves, roller rockers 1.6:1 and cleaned up the combustion chamber

Intake:
Edelbrock 2101 and ported the intake to match gasket.

Carb:
Edelbrock 650 CFM

Exhaust:
2" dual exhaust with two chamber free flowing mufflers on stock manifolds

From what I am hearing, stock this model year does not have the hp or tq to spin the tires. Did a test drive last night after the alignment, from the stop. This 79 luanched, spinning the tires and got to 3-4 car lenght.

Any thoughts on what I managed to gain with the list of MODs. Thank you in advance.

You gained 10hp, then lost it when you corked the intake with a 650 cfm. More likely the power gain was from better spark timing. Probably netted 30.

A hot street 350" only requires 525 cfm @ 6000 rpm so how is that "corked"?

Pleas no not the dreaded "cfm formula"

How much does a 61 Vette need with a factory 283ci with 2X4 barrels totaling 770cfm ?

Because the manufacturers rate the CFM of their carbs at 1.5" of vacuum drop at WOT. That's a restriction.
