Default What choke for this carb?

Where can I find a choke for this carb? I would prefer to buy an electric choke, but if one isn't made for my carb, then I'll take the hot air choke. I check out Summit Racing, but I don't see anything for a Holley carb with a list 6239. Am I using the wrong number to search for the choke?

It looks like I have a hot air choke with a manifold that is not set up to support it.

You could just convert to the Holley replacement Electric Choke Kit...
Holley Electric Choke Kit Install - Step By Step
http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/eng...e-kit-install/

The article above refers to a part number 45-244S (s=shiny), I believe they meant to say 45-224S, or 45-224 (if you want the stock cad finish like the rest of the carb).

Choke Components - Conversion Kits and Components
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...ke_components/

You can give Holley a call and they will tell you exactly which kit to use. 1-866-464-6553

GM# 3999263 GA equates to '72 LT-1

Good luck... GUSTO

the hoses are in the way in the picture but isnt there a pad where the choke coil, cover, and rod are supposed to be mounted. The rod connects to the existing choke linkage.

This is interesting as I'm going through this right now. I spent a half hour on the phone with Holley and the tech said they don't make an electric choke for the 6239-1. I ordered all new divorced choke parts for the bimetal and have it properly adjusted. Now I'm trying to figure out the vacuum side of it as it seems to be allowing it to drop back down on the cam even when it's warmed up causing a high idle problem while driving. I know how to adjust the choke idle came, but not the vacuum linkage. I don't have the Chassis Overhaul Manual or the Chassis Service Manual. Looks like I'll have to add them to my Christmas list. Does anyone have pictures out of the pages to adjust all three areas of the divorced choke on a 1972 LT-1 in the interim?
