Default Another "ticking sound" post. Asking for help

I'm hoping this is just an exhaust leak and not an engine knock. It sounds almost like a metallic sound. I would definitely appreciate any opinions. Sorry for the video orientation

Without better sound; I vote for exhaust leak.
Get a short length of water hose, hold one end up to your ear, and pass the other around the motor until you find the source.

Do the hose trick on the valve covers too. Could be a bad/ out of adjustment rocker or lifter

I would put my money on valve train, but I learned long ago you can't trust even an educated guess when listening to an engine noise like this. I've been fooled too many times. A good stethoscope or the rubber hose trick is necessary to isolate it.

Just to update everyone and provide valuable information - It turned out to be a header exhaust leak. I took them off, removed the rubber gasket, and used a solid copper gasket purchased from summit. No more leaks! No more sound!
