replacing instrument panel lights in a 75 corvette
How is the best way to change the bulbs in the gauge and instrument panels? Have several burnt out. I looked under the dash and can't see how to get to them.
I did a search and nothing came up.

Pay someone else to do it. Once you complete the job and have everything buttoned back up, you'll understand what I mean.
You may not need to remove the dash and the center cluster, but you will have to loosen both in order to get to the rear of the instruments. Working space will be limited, but it's doable.
I just replaced all my dim ancient bulbs with white led lights which really brightens things up and they are still dimmable... its a real paint in the *** but since I just had to remove my seat and steering column to replace the brake booster that failed (Damn Clevis pin!) I felt it was a good time to address this stuff while it was easier to gain access.
I used this type of bulb http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-5-LED-Map...FS9GlO&vxp=mtr
and no it does not look like a kids speed racer toy. It does make the cluster readouts a lot easier to see.
So do you have to lower the steering column to get the cluster out? Or would it be easier to remove the dash pad and go in from the top to replace bulbs?

I found it easier to lower the column. some bulbs you get from the bottom and some the top.
