If it has not been abused like run out of oil or chipped teeth, they usually are good to go with new bearings, and seals.
It is also a good time to upgrade the side yokes.
I personally rerun the gears if there is nothing wrong with them.

Check your pattern first before you pull it apart. Then make the decision whether or not to buy gears. Re-using the same gears is completely different than buying a used set of gears and sticking them in.
