Default I need headers. now for the real problem...

well i have wanted headers for a while now, and im pissed that i didnt get em when the engine was out of the car getting rebuild :mad , but i need to know whats the best bang for the $$$? i already have true dual, but its off the manifolds, so i know i would have to do a little customizing to make it work, but thats no prob. i also want to make some cat-delete pipes, or buy em but thats a diffrent story. basically i wanted to see if any of my fellow forum members had any way to get me some good headers cheap, or just a type they swear by. i know i need long tube. and my exaust now is 2.5 mandrel bent with highflow cats.

whaddya guys think? i would like to spend less that $500, but i want good performance too

Hooker, Hedman or Dynomax can't go wrong with either of these. Comes down to paint or factory ceramic coating .

The Hedmans work with A.I.R., so if you ever decide to sell your car to someone who has to deal w/ emissions, they'd be very thankful to you.

Regular hedmans are $260, coated are $450 or so. Check summit.

#68301 for regular, 68301-6 for coated.

For a smallblock you should take a look at the dynomax coated headers for just over $200! Normally it would cost you almost $200 just to have headers Jet Hot coated. They make them for smallblock only. Lots of forum guys have them. Maybe not the absolute best headers but they seem to be the best value. MJ
