700R4 swap question
Hi all,
This is my first post to the forum and hope I do everything according to the rules!
My moms 1982 Vette is having some shifting issues. I am very automatic trans illiterate and not sure how to explain the issue except to say that it shifts very inconsistently. I tried to reset the TV cable and have removed the governor and cleaned it after a trans shop had changed the fluid for her. Still the same issues.
I have a trans out of a 1991 Firefird and was wondering if I can throw a new filter on it and throw it in the Vette or is there more to it than that such as interior part differences. I'm not really sure how to read the serial numbers on the side of the trans boss to make it easier to ID it.
