Help with choke on Holley
Having a problem with the choke on my vac secondary Holley 780 carb. The small vac canister that works with the hot air choke rod is hooked to the vacuum port (manifold) at the front on my carb. As soon as you turn on the engine it starts pulling the choke open against the hot air rod. As a result the choke is not working and my car won't idle until its at about 180degrees. Do I have that hooked up to the wrong port for vacuum? I also have my vacuum advance hooked to the same spot?

I'm not certain about your particular carb but the vacuum is supposed to open the choke only slightly upon startup, about 1/4". If this is the case, your problem is more likely too low a setting on the fast idle cam or possibly to some other tuning issue that may not be related to the choke.
