More power!!! HELP!!!
I bought a 100% stock 1973 vette about 1 month ago. I need more HP. This is what I have done so far: Put a 700 Holley, removed AC and smog equipment, headers, and shift kit.
I want to put in a monster of a cam. I have been hearing a lot about the (comp cam?) but what size/kind do I get? Can anybody give me a name of a company and a part # of such a cam? And...... can I "simply" just put in a new cam or do I also have to change other engine components?

I don't want a 9 sec drag racer. I have set no expectations on the gained HP after the cam. Want a nice lope and a boost. Just looking for a nice cam that would be suitable for the current mods.

Well, you will obviously want new lifters, and you will probably need new valve springs too depending on the lift of the new cam. It might not be a bad idea to get different heads depending on how well the current heads flow. If you have restrictions, like intake, heads or exhaust flow, you won't see the full potential of the cam.
