Weighed my car!!
I had the opportunity to weigh my 79 on a 20,000 lbs capacity scale at my work(used to weighing mail). I scored 3355 with a half tank of gas and some extra speakers in there. Not too bad considering that I have all the options. I expected a little less though because I have most everything replaced with aluminum/fiberglass. What was interesting though was when I weighed the front rear wheels seperately and found that they only vary by 40 lbs. 1770 front and 1730 rear with me in the car. I've always liked the way it handles, this may be an attributing factor. Can't wait to get new bilstein sport shocks all around.

What a great front to rear weight ratio :yesnod: . GM did a really nice job balancing these cars when they designed them :) .

Hmmmmm, very interesting. I weigh in at 195 lbs and the car and myself together weigh in at 3640 lbs. with half a tank of fuel. I had estiimated that the weight was about 3700 lbs. without me. So I was pleased. :seeya

Burners: I have installed:
Aluminum - intake, heads, waterpump, pulleys and fan
Fiberglass rear spring.
Removed spare tire, jack and alarm.
Headers
There are probably other small things but thats most of it.
