Congrats! Do you have a time table for your plans? I always wondered if folks do that. Also, did you buy everything you need for this or will you buy as you go and see what you need?
Thanks Maurice. My time table from the minute I looked at this car was between 2-5 years, and still is....
Yes I do plan on buying as I go, thats the only way I can afford it or I have the time to tinker.
I want to thank all the forum members who have given me advice and support thus far, you know who y'all are, Thank You very much.
And to the few NAY SAYERS, I do still plan on proving you wrong. :D
Capt, I guess its cause some people just don't get it.....
Some people (like myself) like to take something that is almost worthless to others, or is destin for the trash heep, and make it into something that is real nice, and enjoy what they have done and totally refreshing the car in the process. Its not for everyone.

It's for me. Congrats.
Look for my post tomorrow - I cut out the top of the windshield frame
from the 75 - and test fit on the 70. It's lookin good.
Good job...You may want to concider supporting the nose piece. After a period of time it will stress the front clip seal points and cause water and heat leaks.

This is the kind of priceless advice/experience/support you find here on the forum!!!!!
It's people like you that make me want to do the same to mine, just so that I can paint the frame
Well done, it looks like you've got the next few months booked solid! If you haven't already, take loads of pics - they're invaluable when you're bolting it all back together. Also store the parts away & keep a note of where each part is.... if I had a $ for each part that I spent ages searching for, then I still wouldn't have enough $$$ to cover the cost of the bits that I never found ;)
I just had an anxiety attack as I went to bed last night that I would spend
one day looking for each little part during assembly. Luckily, with a donor
car - I have extras of some bits. These parts should only take a half day to locate.
Lately, I've been trying to put them in plastic boxes that I get at work.
On the top of each box - a list of each little part that gets chucked in there.
Next box ! To do it well, you need 3 "spaces". One for the chassis, one for
the body - and another for all the "parts". I currently have the two vettes
in the two stalls, but luckily - my driveway holds about 10 cars.
Looks like your heading on the right track. Try not to listen to the nay sayers, they will discourage you. When you find yourself to that discouraged point take a break for a few days, it will do wonders. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming!
