I put 134 leak stop and leak detector in my system. I am going through a can of 134a every 2-3 weeks. I don't want to F up the ozone layer so I am thinking of buying a new compressor for 140.00 or pasting a picture of where the leak is. Maybe someone can tell me if an O ring can fix it?
Thanks

In photo it's on top with green fluid. It has a piece of metal in center on top with a C clamp with 2 prong holes to remove C clamp. Please let me know if it's repairable?
Thanks

Reason: Photo add with description.
R134A refrigerant will not harm the environment like the old refrigerant R12. Your compressor is considered to be an open compressor meaning that refrigerant is likely to be leaking at the clutch shaft. There is a possibility that refrigerant could be leaking at the O-ring seals on the back. Look for signs of oil, especially with a leak as bad as you say it is.
Good luck

Have you checked the schrader valve in the low and high pressure ports? Put some soapy water on them with the system on and look for bubbles.

If i remember correctly that is the high pressure relief valve, I have never removed one but it can be removed and the o-rings replaced from what I've read.
OK after looking at a breakdown of the GM R4 compressor that is the superheat switch and does have a o-ring seal.
Its already leaking so you cannot do any further damage, remove the freon and pull the snap ring, then pull the valve and see what gives.
I'll look around and see if I can find a diagram of how its built, you may be able to find one on the net.
