Seperator
I replace the gas tank on a 71 it has the seperator, but I not sue if its working. here's what I tried
Used a hand vacuum pump on all below.
1) With seperator hook up I drew vacuum on the pipe line at the engine bay with the charcoal canister disconnected, gas cap on and then removed.
result= vacuum on gauge slowly went down
2) With seperator removed from pipe line
result= No vacumm could be pulled (no block in pipe)
3) Hooked vacuum pump to seperator both lines with seperator not hooked up to tank or pipe line.
result= pulled vacuum on gauge slowly went down
Question is does the seperator work or not, I can't tell its not free flowing and I know that their is a small ball in that moves becaues I shook it before the new tank went in.
