I know this is a controversial subject from the sticky, and particularly here, but I'm curious if anyone has analyzed the 540RatBlog oil test data list against the COST of the various oils in the "INCREDIBLE" category to come up with a "value" list of high perf motor oils.
Even better if someone has cross-referenced the high zinc oils, 540RatBlog list, AND the cost of the oils to come up with an oil that exists at the intersection of traditional advice recommendation, wear testing recommendation, and cost.
The guy has a like 100+ page blog post; he's clearly got issues, but personally, I love this particular type of "issues".
OCD / ADHD Hyperfocus is some people's super power and when they're lucky enough to combine that with an actual professional engineering degree; it's worth paying attention.

Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Group IV PAO/ester 0W-40 European Formula ONLY (NOT the other Mobil 1 weights which are not true synthetics except 5W-50 Porsche approved Mobil 1) ZDDP 1,000 PPM (marginal for flat tappet cam in my opinion but the way to go with a roller cam)-By far the best deal @ Walmart in 5 QT container @ $22-25 depending on time of year....Hard to beat the value/quality proposition for street driving....
Are there better oils? Certainly yes BUT they are often 50-100% more expensive....
