Default Steering column question

I have a standard column in my 69. Can I use a late C3 TT steering column without much modifications? I'd really like tilt and the telescoping would be a bonus. Better yet is there any even newer columns that would work without much effort?

All you ever wanted to know about installing a 1977 thru 1982 Corvette steering column into a 1969 thru 1976 Vette.

This should answer your questions on the upgrade.
