Default Mysterious Green Wire

Hey guys, I'm working on the vacuum switch for the blower doors and came across a loos wire. Can anyone identify what this wire could possibly be? I can't find another connector, and can't determine what may or may not be working correctly. Could be something from the stock radio deck, I just can't determine what it is.

Thanks

What year is the car? I'll check the schematic when I get home. From the defrost switch it looks like 78 or 79....

79 schematic is here: http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/w...re-diagram.png

78 schematic is here: http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/w...e-this-one.png

must be an early car, the defrost switch was small on early and larger on late. I don't have a 80 schematic here but I can look tomorrow when I get to my office. Maybe someone else will chime in for you.

Doesn't look like a stock connector to me. I've removed the main cabin wiring harness in my '79 three times and do not recall any clear or even milky clear electrical connectors.

FWIW: the connector could be for an option not installed on your car.

I had a 80 but now have a 81.Ii think it was for oil temp switch that was not available in 80 but standard in 81. Maybe you have a late model with newer harness.

Just a thought
