..before I even got it out of the driveway after replacing the water pump. The silly turn signal lever snapped right off. I guess years of use finally caught up to it. Heh. This is going to be fun. I'm assuming that I've got to take apart the entire steering column to replace the lever?

Or move to California...nobody signals their turn anyway! It may not be too bad. Is it not possible to repair? JB weld or duct tape?
Off topic...I almost ran over a little old lady in a Minneapolis snow storm, then realized the rear view mirror was in my line of sight (new car) so I angle cut the mirror arm , shortened, and JB back together. Most turn signal arms are 6" long and get in the way for big people (6-1, 240) in little cars.
But I digress...good luck... :smash:

Yeah- it controls the signals, wipers, washers, hi-low beams...
I tried ramming it back in there and securing it. No dice. I can't put enough pressure on it to turn off the high beams and such.
Now every time I use my hand signals to make a turn everyone thinks I'm waving and they wave back....LOL!
Re: fix one thing and another breaks.. (Captain_Kaboom)
No need to disassemble the steering column. When mine broke off, it left a 1/2 inch section behind that I was able to remove with needle nose. New lever pushed in but refused to operate wipers at high speed. Pulled it out, ground off extraneous pin which was on there for who knows why,and stuck it back in. I don't have cruise so your experience may be different.
