MSD Distributor # 8362
Is there a height or size problem that it wont fit under a stock hood of a 1977. One vendor is OK, another is "Wont Fit" Any input ? If its a stock replacement then what gives ?

The 8362 is a direct replacement for the HEI that came with my '77. It fits like it is supposed to. I am using a 1" drop base 14x3 air cleaner I got from Summit Racing. The only drawback to the 8362 is lack of mechanical advance limiters but you can experiment with a bolt in the base plate. I also installed a Crane adjustable vacuum can.
