Russ, it's actually quite rare that an original caliper would have survived this long without already having been replaced with a sleeved one. Especially one without major corrosion inside.
I bought a '77 new back in the day and within 3 years was already having to replace a front caliper due to leaking. The SS sleeved calipers were just becoming available from the aftermarket at that time.

Good luck... GUSTO
Gusto,
It wasn't an original but when I rebuilt the right side, I could tell right away that it was sleeved. This one didn't look like the right one. I took the left one to NAPA and bought one from them and you could tell right away that it was sleeved also.
The one I removed may have been sleeved, but sure didn't look it. Any way, it is replaced with a sleeved one and new "O" rings installed.
