I installed a new smaller diameter steering wheel on my '69. I have the standard steering column. The new steering wheel is shallower and my knuckles hit the turn signal lever. Does anyone make a turn signal lever that will work with the shallower steering wheel, with less angle at the mounting point? Turn the turn signal lever backwards? I tried bending one and it snapped, made out of cast metal.

Gus-
To my knowledge there is not any aftermarket turn signal lever you can use. However, you might try heating the lever with a torch and then re-bend it. You'll probably cook off the chrome when you do this but I'm sure if you get it glowing enough it'll bend where you need it.
Rescue Rogers, Yes, that is exactly what I did! AND, it works great. Plenty of clearance for my fingers and plenty of distance to the dash. Most wouldn't even notice it.
