Default Removing carpet glue

Any tips for getting old carpet glue up? My vette has had the carpet replaced several times. This has resulted in a build up of glue. In some places the buildup is pretty bad and there are tufts of old stinky jute everywhere. How can I get the old glue cleaned up? Heat gun maybe? I trade scraping with limited sucess.

Have you tried the glossy catalogs? They may have something. Or even your local auto store?

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Try 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner pn-051135-08984. NAPA stocks it under pn-08984 that is for a quart can.
