Has anybody used the "rigid as original" fan shroud for 69-72 350 C-3s from Willcox? I'm asking because a couple months back I bought a shroud from Corvette America and it sucks, it's flimsy and "rubbery" for lack of a better way to put it. I managed to make it work with some "adjusting" with a heat gun but I don't like it, I want to get one that isn't so flimsy. Original GM shrouds cost way too much money, I don't want to spend the kind of money that people are asking for them. I just want one that isnt flimsy, will fit right, and won't interfere with the fan blade. My '69 has a 350 with A/C. I can't use the factory steel shroud, I need the shroud made for a car with A/C. Willcox seems to be the only place offering a rigid shroud but before I drop 230 bucks for it I want to know if anyone here has used one and what they thought of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would give Willcox a call. Good guys to deal with.

I know they're good guys to deal with but I'm trying to find someone that has used one of their "rigid as original" 69-72 fan shrouds, I want to know how good the fit was, what the clearance around the fan blade was, etc.
I've used it... and they were exactly like the originals...
However, I though we had them blocked out on the site, they are no longer available...
Noooooooooo! Please say it isn't so, I NEED one of those shrouds! Do you know of anyone else that has them? I hate the flimsy, rubbery shroud I got from Corvette America, I want to send it back for a refund and get a better shroud. You have two other decent shrouds available, a fiberglass one (part number 41360 for 360 bucks) and a press molded one (part number 42581) for 378 bucks. You have a third shroud too, part number 2470 for 230 bucks but I'm assuming it's the flimsy, rubbery Corvette America shroud that I already have, am I correct? I can't afford the 360 and 378 dollar shrouds (400+ dollars after shipping), I need a cheaper alternative that isn't a piece of garbage. Please help me find a good shroud for a decent price if you can, I'm desperate at this point.
what part number did you buy from CA? What year is the car what h/p?
I don't recall the part number offhand, the invoice is at my house and I'm at work right now. The car is a 69 with a 350 engine w/air conditioning. If corvette America has more than one shroud available the one I have will be the cheapest one, it cost 199 bucks.
