In the Grundy (in-line) insurance application they ask if you run errands with the car. If you run errands you don't get their coverage.
So........If I amout cruising, the wife calls me on the Cell, asks me to pick up a loaf of bread on the way home and something happens, does Grundy refuse your claim because "Fresh Bread!" was found in the car???
OR.......if I need to go to the parts store to get a part for my S-10, and the wife's out shopping with her car and the Vette is just sitting there do I wait all day for my wife to return to use her car to go to the parts store???
OR...the vettes been sitting in the garage about 3 weeks, I need milk, and I take the Vette in order to roll the tires and circulate some oil...I'm not covered???
They'll provide coverage if I pleasure cruise all around Orlando all day in some
heavy crazy traffic because it's pleasure driving but won't cover a 3 mile drive to the grocery store????..............Strange........Co mments????
I agree mine just does not want the car left unattended in a parking lot. They don't want it used for a daily driver or daily chores. Yea I take mine to the local store for milk and bread but I can usually see it. Kind of a judgement call. I suppose if they want to get technical it is in print but I doubt they would hold you to it.
'Nuther reason to go with Hagarty. No such bullship. You're just not allowed to drive it to work.

I hate the one too! :mad I live 1 mile from work and the car sits right outside my office and I stare at it all day long wanting to be driving it. Nuttin' gonna happen to it. :)
Yeah, I had the same problem: I submited the online application, tried to be honest, and they said they couldn't help me. C'mon, what's one expected to do if one's daily driver is at the shop? Rent a car, while the Vette is in the garage, dying to go out? Who wouldn't drive the Vette in this situation? I guess you're just expected to lie... :cuss:
my agent said if my car is damaged in any parking lot it is not covered. Seems fair to me.
Rates are low for a reason.
Sure, I guess--but why not have low rates AND not have to worry about getting bopped by a drive-off in a parking lot? HAGARTY'S! I pay $240 a year for agreed value coverage of $25K, and I can park anywhere I want, so long as it ain't at work.

I just got a laugh picturing you pulled over by the cops and instead of you swallowing a dime bag, you are instead trying to wolf down a loaf of French bread.
