Replacing left rear brake seals.
Small o ring was missing in delivery...left the two caliper parts together.
This made everything difficult.
Solved all but one problem...
I'm unable to install the new piston dust covers in the caliper.
Using socket and tapping with hammer is no option because there is just not enough space.
The way I understand your question, have you left the caliper installed on the car? If so, you will save your self a lot of trouble, and do a much easier and better job if you remove the entire caliper from the car. Then you can clean it properly and make sure the seals are intslled correctly. Th eonly down side is if the line itself is difficult to get loose. If it is, just apply a little heat to it. And welcome to the club. Any questions, just ask ( well do a SEARCH first) and I am sure you will get more info than you can imagine.
Used iron leverage and 30mm socket.
Job done.
Only have to bleed caliper now.
Problem in Europe is part are expensive.
Seals ebay Germany 30€ cheapest
Seals shop Netherlands 40€ + shipping...
USA 12-16$ + shipping + import tax...about 40$ and 10d wait.
Comes with the hobby I guess 😉
