M20 muncie to lsx base engine
Hi guys,
i have a 77 vette with 4 speed manual and stock sbc. My plan is to swap to lsx (lq4) but keep my trans. It is 26 spline and I already have the engine and i have an ls7 clutch, i think it is a 12in diameter and 26spline. Through my research i know i can connect the m20 to the engine using a 621 bbc bellhousing, but im not sure if the clutch will work. Seems like everyone else doing the combination are using the pre-71 muncie with 10 spline and using a different clutch and flywheel. Have anyone done this combo with the 26 spline trans and what clutch and flywheel did you use?
