Could anyone with experience with either the Ron Francis TC70 lock up kit OR the Bowler lock up kit share pros and cons? I have pretty much narrowed things down to either of these vs just a simple toggle or vacuum switch in controlling my 200R4 lockup. They both come at this problem with different solutions so I would like someone with real world experience as to which works best. Thanks.
Speed is nice vs just locking it up in 4th. But, I think you'll find that speed and load (vacuum switch) or speed and throttle position would be the best. GM uses both speed and throttle on most EFI controlled lockup applications. Speed is nice because it doesn't lug if you slow down without using enough gas to kick-down the transmission. Load or throttle is nice because it unlocks if you step into the gas a bit which allows extra acceleration without having to kick-down the transmission. The TC-70 kit and a switch on the throttle linkage that releases the TCC when you go above a certain throttle level would work well.

i used the b&m controller on my 700r4 trans.
added the brake switch and a vacuum switch to drop it off.
added a 10sec timer into the mix so that it doesn't hunt when then lockup kicks in.
