1978 Pace Car Documentation

Number locations on the car, options, etc.
I’m not interested in showing the car right now, but would like to find out what they look for.
Also, everyone that has looked at this car THINKS this is the original paint. Any tips to help tell for sure?
The defining details that make a car a pace car over another one are front and rear spoilers, an emblem on the bottom of the center of the dash that says "Corvette 25th anniversary", the paint scheme, and the deep bucket seats. Also, the vin will be in the form 1z87X8s9 instead of 1z8sX8s4 where X is the engine code. L for L-48, 4 for L-82.
As for the paint, if you polish the car and the color of the car comes off on the rag, then you at least have an original "style" finish. It's hard to say absolutely, unless you've had the car for 25 years. A thorough painter could make a repaint look totally original.

I tried to not use the term “Numbers matching” in my first post because it gets some people so upset, but that’s what I am trying to determine. I believe my car to be almost totally original, but I am just trying to determine this for myself. I’m not selling it.
The question I had about all options is that I have seen it posted here that all Pace Cars had Cruise; I know that’s not correct. I have also seen it posted there were only 2 radio options, I also think that may be incorrect.
As I said I can spend hours searching the internet for this info I just though maybe someone with a 78 (Preferably a Pace Car) has already done it, and I could do more constructive things like have a beer and look for the numbers. :)
