I have a 74 stingray that I just purchased. After crawling under it today I noticed the TCS sensor in the transmission has been disconnected and appears to be snapped off. Under pressure it is leaking fluid. Does anyone know where I can get a plug that will fit the threading? Has anyone done this? I took the sensor off ran it to the local auto parts store and hardware store with no success.
I'm gonna say it's the same as what was on the M21's. The thread should be a 9/16-18 fine thread and it will need to be pretty short (like the switch) so it doesn't go into the trans too far and jamb something. You might have to cut down a bolt and possibly add an o-ring or gasket washer as well.
Regular hardware probably won't have it, need to try a fastener place (fastenal?)

I ordered a bolt from Fastenal. Had a local machine shop cut the bolt to match the lenght of the sensor and placed an automotive gasket/washer. Drive it around checked then let it sit for awhile. Looked underneath and no more oil leak. Looks to have worked. Thanks for your help again
