Touch base with the C2 folks. They can probably help.

You loosen the clamp with a straight blade screwdriver and move it from there. The clamp is above the block area where non fuelies are located. In other words us the clamp instead of the bolt at the block.

Not my picture, but here is one showing the band (clamp) you loosen

FI cars only Terry. The drive housing shown in the picture is for the fuel pump drive cable, on the other side is the tach drive cable. With the cables attached to the lower unit there is no way to adjust the distributor like conventional distributors, so they made the top portion of the distributor adjustable. Just think, you guys have one, maybe two or three cars to know, I've got to cover almost all of them..

I had 64 FI injection on my 61 vette when I bought it and it did not have the nice band type cap shown by Willcox Corvette.

If you don't have enough rotation adjustment you can do several things. The easiest is to just move all your plug wires over one terminal to advance the timing and then you rotate the dizzy retarded to bring the correct timing in. The other choice is restabbing the Dizzy over one tooth.

Each dizzy post is 45 degrees (360/8) So it is a major change. don't fire the motor. You can then rotate the dizzy back one pole distance and your timing would be the same and be clear of the oil line interference.

Please don't post to go to the c-1 and c-2 forum. I maintain some of them for older people with too much money and they hire people to work on them.

Default Fuel i.e. Timing

There is a clamp coller just below the distributor cap, loosen it to adjust. Timing. Just needs a flat blade screw driver. The upper part of the distributor including the cap moves, the distributor does not!
At the base of the fuelie distributor ther is a coller with a locating pin which keeps the distributor & intake manifold in alignment. The oil line is also another reason the lower portion of the distributor doesn't move.
That along with the tach drive cable & the fuel meter drive cable are additional reasons for the lower part of the distributor to remain stationary.
Good luck.
