I used 1/2 inch studs on my 69 , I used my drill press to open the stock rotors ,easy enough to do.
I ran aftermarket halibrand rims. If I didnt cut the studs they were too long for closed end nuts.
So I cut them and used .......ford..... wheel nuts.
as for the front , I left them standard.
Toms axles have a dual pattern hole set up , I know with just putting the bigger studs in a chevy axle you have to modify the back of the stud to clear the shape of the axle .
I just used the drill press also. In addition to opening the hole I had to chamfer the hols on the back side of the rotor to clear the little part of stud that protrudes past axle flange.
