I have a comp cams 260h cam kit with valve springs, lock, retainers, stem seals. I've recently decided I will also get new cylinder heads but I don't know if the heads comes with springs etc. If they do I will sell the kit and but a cam/ lifter set seperate, also what's the difference between bare and assembled heads besides price? thanks
what's the difference between bare and assembled heads ? thanks
Typically when new, bare = head casting with valve guides installed.
Typically when new, assembled = head casting with valves, guides, springs, retainers & keepers (locks) installed.
Typically when new, rocker arms are not included in either bare nor assembled ... but RA's sometimes included in used/rebuilt assembled.
