Default Headers for ZZ4

I'm think about putting headers on my 76 with a ZZ4 crate engine. Summit Racing recommends a Sanderson Blockhugger CC1DP-SEC which is ceramic coated and for engines with D shaped ports. Any suggestions or comments?

I'm running Headman D-Ports. Can't remember where I got them. They are the block hugger design. I had them JetHot coated a while back. I'll dig up some pictures if you want.

zz383 fast burn heads d-port

Mine are cc134dp which are 1-3/4" tube for dport

https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/snh-cc134dp

They fit very tight on the driver side against the steering box

I had to dent a tube to fit

The 1-5/8 would have fit better.

The Sanderson headers are a shorty and blockhugger type, and I checked with Sanderson who related they would work with my 76 with no clearance problems. I appreciate the offer for pictures, but I don't think that is necessary as I've decided to buy the Sanderson headers. Thank you for your response, and offer of pictures.

Thanks for responding. I've decided to go with the Sanderson headers after Sanderson informed they would work with my 76 with no clearance problems. Also, the CC1DP-SEC have 1 5/8 tubes so I should not encounter the steering box problem you encountered.
