Default I bought the 81....finally

Well. It's my car now. Sittin in the shop in the back. Now begins the fun part. As soon as I get a shop manual I'm gonna start to tear out the interior. In a couple weeks me and my dad are gonna change all the belts and hoses, take the carb out and soak it, and fix the other mechanical things. A lot of work ahead of me and I'm looking forward to it.

Here are some pics:

Congradulations! I've enjoyed my 81. The first thing I did was to "freshen up" the interior. 4K later I finished it. Be careful about trying to fix to much at once or you spend alot of money. We all fall pray to "while I'm here I might as well......"

Thanks guys. As for the "while I'm at it..." stuff. I plan to do pretty much everything before I start to drive it. My dad is set on doing it all right and at one time too. I'm expecting to spend a lot but hopefully it'll be worth it.

Congrats! Looks like mine, but nicer. Hopefully you will start with brakes and steering issues...? Would not be good to overlook that stuff. Do you keep a fire ext in it?
What does it really need, if anything? And what do you really want? Cruiser, show, chick magnet, strip...??? What about tunes and sound systems... looks like you have a good place to work...have fun !!

 Nice looking '81!! Congrats & hope it's a good 'un. Carefull with what you soak the carb in (is it still computer controlled?). There's a couple of bits in it that don't get on with carb cleaner.
And what do you really want? Cruiser, show, chick magnet
Aha!! What mods does it take to make it into a chick magnet???
