I have put power steering on my 70 and was just wondering will it clear the stock oil pan or is this another one of those UH-OHs I have overlooked?

If you do have the correct, stock oil pan for your base engine 1970, you won't encounter any clearance problems.
The only engine that this was a problem with in 1970 was in early production (CTU broadcast code) LT-1s. These cars had an oil pan with a greater capacity made possible by an extended sump. This extended sump interfered with the power steering gear making installation impossible. Later in the 1970 model year, the oil pan was changed on LT-1s (CTK broadcast code) to allow for the installation of power steering.

Hey Rowdy, Thanks for the info this is just what I wanted to hear. I started thinking (No wonder my head hurts) about this because I see you can order 2 oil pans from the vendors for the small blocks.
On midyears, the oil pan issue also comes into play. All solid lifter midyear smallblocks used the "6 quart" pan, which made it impossible to install PS. Only the hydraulic lifter motors were available from the factory with PS. Those cars used the "5 quart" pan. Chuck
