Wow....looks great! What color is that? I plan on painting mine anniversary red like the new 50th and yours looks close. On second look,,,it looks a bit more like a black cherry. Nice work!

yellow 72, yep time to move on and tackle another bridge!

itza56, budget got passed a long time ago. My wife keeps reminding me. I can't look at the car anymore without it costing me $100.

68rdstr, Thanks! Looks like you can relate by looking at your sig!

71,454,4spd, Thanks!

Alwyn678, Thanks, hows yours coming?

73454, Thanks!

PyjamaSam, Thanks. Paint makes or brakes a car IMO.

Looks great Steve - except for that nasty reflection in the rear quarter.
Oh - that's you - sorry. :D

I'm curious what the color is. I recall someone mentioning the Black Cherry.
Was it you ? Sure looks like Black Cherry to me.

That's gonna look sweet as a cherry with the chrome in place. Did you paint
the rear deck grills the same color ? I am toying around with the idea of chroming them.
:seeya

Brett, It's called black plum. Yea its very close to the 50th anniversary color. It has two pearls mixed in it.

OHSIXX, Thanks!

Dave

I painted mine with that chrome paint that looks good for a day or two. :)Have heard you can get after market chromed ones but have never seen them. I don't look throught the vette catalogs like I used too so might be some in there.

Dave, I thought the reflection is what made the paint!  Its called black plum with a gold and a white pearl mixed in it. Yes I painted the rear grills the same color. I thought about buying the chrome ones but $$$.

VolVette, Thanks! I removed most of it with a razor blade and sanded the rest. I bought a new front end and new quarters and didn't need to remove any paint off of them. I stripped the rest down to the glass.

Steve it looks great!!!!!!!!
I'm very jealous.
I just spoke to ACI about the pricing for my rear 1/4's and taillight panel for my 69 convert.
I would imagine in November I will start to cut the old ones off.
Can't wait to see more pics as assembly starts.

Thanks James, replacing the 1/4's wasn't that bad, but the front end and inner fenders is a different story  I'm kinda excited about starting the assembly.
