I installed a new dizzy in the 75 today, the old one was quite worn and I never could get it set right. The new one is from Skip White Performance and it came with an adjustable vacuum advance, 65k coil new cap and rotor with correct springs for all in at 2800 rpm. I set the initial advance to 10*bdc and adjusted the idle to 850 rpm. I set the all in to 36* and rechecked the initial and found it to be at 15*. The vacuum advance gave me 20 extra degrees at so I dialed it back to only give 15* extra on a manifold port.
It pulled real hard through 4500 rpm in 1st and 2nd then I ran out of straight road. There is a huge difference in seat of the pants feel and now it runs as good as it looks. At this point I am a happy camper but winter is coming and I can't do anything about it.
Happy motoring;
Jerry
